Wellness experiences and strategy, made easy

about Flyway

Our story

Our story

I started Flyway to make wellness easier and smarter.

I come from a family that values fitness, wellness, and entrepreneurship. As a kid, I learned to appreciate physical activity and time outside during trips to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. My mother introduced me to yoga when I was in college, and I appreciated how it contributed to my well-being. During my childhood, I was also introduced to entrepreneurship. My father ran a manufacturing shop, and I would occasionally visit his offices on weekends and help him with paperwork. His work taught me about leadership and motivated me to follow his path.

In 2004, I graduated from Dartmouth College and moved to Boston. I began work in international public health. After several years, I took a new job at an investment consulting firm. The work was stimulating, but I knew that down the road I wanted my career focus to be on human problems, not basis points.

In 2011, I earned my MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. I moved to Burlington, Vermont and worked in an innovation role at Keurig Green Mountain. With school behind me, I had plenty of time for yoga. I loved becoming a regular at a local studio, and I appreciated that I could walk to class and drop in on a whim.

Unfortunately, my yoga routine abruptly stopped in 2014 when I moved back to Boston to work as a management consultant at Deloitte. Busy days with lots of travel made it inconvenient to go to classes at yoga studios. Occasionally, there were opportunities to attend yoga at work, but classes were episodic and scheduled at inconvenient times. I really missed yoga.

In the summer of 2016, I got married and began a new phase of my career. I decided that my work should address a problem that was important to me and many others. So, I started Flyway in an effort to make it easier for all of us to go to yoga.
